About John C Gerrie

Hello, I am John Gerrie. 

I hope you enjoy looking through my portfolio of watercolours and pen and ink paintings. I have been working on this over the last few years.

I thought I would share something about how I became involved in painting.   

My surveying background gave me the skill to accurately sketch the world around me.

My interest in history is the inspiration for the subject matter in my paintings. 

In 2017, my first involvement in painting was an art class. This provided the opportunity to draw and paint local castles. Leading me to paint landscapes, villages, and other interesting subjects.
