Sandend Village with Alison (Original)
£350.00
Sandend village is perhaps one of the most attractive and smallest of the many old fishing villages scattered along the north-facing coasts of Moray and Aberdeenshire. Artists admire this view, and the end-on houses pointing to the sea are a prime subject to paint.

Sandend Village With Alison Watercolour
My painting is based on a warm tranquil summer day when I visited with my wife. The washes painted into the picture reflect my feelings.
This watercolour has a special meaning for me. We found the whole atmosphere a special place of calm that will remain with me forever.
Sandend Village Brief History
Sandend was a thriving fishing village in the 17th century with its own smokehouses.
By the 20th century, there were two small harbours with neat single-storey cottages end-on to the sea and a thriving community.
Sandend benefits from a mild climate and a long sandy beach that attracts holidaymakers and tourists alike.
It is in this village where John Sangster Jnr made his long case (grandfather) clocks between 1820 and 1840
