  • Cults Hub

Cults Hub displays the work of local artists on the walls of their coffee shop. You will be able to see some of my work there until 7th September. The coffee shop is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 10am and 2pm.

The artwork is on sale at the Hub so these original paintings will not be available for sale directly from the website without me checking with the Hub.

Cults Kirk Centre is situated at 404 North Deeside Road. The Hub Cafe is open weekly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 10 am – 2 pm. Here is a link to Google Maps. There is car parking at the back of the building.

  • Opposing Colours in Watercolours

    • Focus is on using different colours in paintings.
    • The hut is a simple timber structure on stilts, accessed by stone steps and a ladder.
    • Instead of using the expected spring green colours, I used varying shades of blue for the mountain background to make the subject stand out.
    • This technique creates a sense of remoteness and depth in the landscape.
    • It is effective for landscapes and seascapes with wide panoramic views.
