Balmoral Castle shows the different styles and details that are common in castles in the area.
I wanted to capture this in watercolour from a new angle that is not often seen in other paintings. It was a fun challenge and I am very pleased with the final painting.

My Beechwood Walk watercolour was inspired by moments of tranquil reflection in nature.

The watercolour was painted from Logie Durno at harvest time with a spectrum of greens, golds and dark purple heather with light blue and white sky colours that give the painting body and depth.
