Your Frame
All frames are handmade using solid wood. The frames are treated with a coating of beeswax stain to bring out the natural beauty of the wood. The colours can vary slightly depending on the features of the wood.
Many of the features I used when making these frames are not normally available in commercially produced frames. These include:
- 2mm thick glazing
- hardboard backing
- carefully pinned corners
- natural beeswax stain
- hand cut mounts
Your original watercolour will be mounted with a 60mm wide ‘off-white’ mount, and has 2mm clear glazing (either UV-resistant perspex or glass ).
